Review: Aquarellum Mini Cats

One of our art kits this year was Aquarellum Mini Cats. This is a really cool art project. You get to mix the colors yourself. They give you a sheet to know how much of each color to use to get certain colors. I did however notice that not all the colors turn out like the color sheet says. Our daughter still had fun with it.

We got this with our Timberdoodle kindergarten kit. I always like to get extra art kits since our daughter loves art. A downside to this kit is there are only 2 projects. I wish it had more. Also the paint definitely stains. I had got some on my leg and it took days for it to come off.

This is a really fun art kit and I would definitely recommend it if you have the money. Since it only has 2 cards to paint it might be better to buy an art kit that has more projects. Either way, our food had a lot of fun with this. Mixing the colors and seeing her finished work, she was very proud of herself and that makes me a very happy mom.

Review: Geoboards

A fun way to help kids get great hand-eye coordination isn’t with  Geoboards . I love that with these there are 4 boards included so you can use it with multiple students. The rubber bands are different colors and 2 different sizes. The pictures are fun, colorful and you get a bunch of them. My daughter really likes these. For some reason she thinks it’s so funny when the bands pop her. At first I just let her place the bands anywhere to get the idea of how to put them on. Then we started places them just on the white lines in the picture. She always wants to do more than one so I let her do as many pictures as she wants. I do wish there was a blanket picture so she could design her own things.
