Review: Animal Homeland Mosaics

We love doing arts and crafts so I made sure to add this kit to our Timberdoodle curriculum for this year.  Animal Homeland Mosaics  has a bunch of different animals you get to add stickers and gems, too. The kit comes with everything you need which is nice so we didn’t need to go out and get extra supplies. Our kit came with 2 instruction manuals which isn’t a bad thing. However, the instructions don’t show you everything you need to get out for the animal you are doing.  My daughter chose to do the crocodile one. The manual didn’t say we needed to use the apple stickers or the yellow and blue stickers. It was depicted in the picture in the manual but wasn’t listed on the page as needing them so with this kit I can’t just give my daughter the manual to follow because then half the art project wouldn’t be done. Another flaw is that the little gems don’t always come off with their sticky stuff so I had to pull off the stickiness and push it back on the gems for them to stick.

Review: Djeco Bugs

This art kit by Djeco is a great way to entertain your kiddo for a long time.  Djeco Bugs  has 4 cards and the scratching stick. All your child needs to do is scratch the blue parts of the card and it reveals a picture. We’ve had some other kits like this but you had to scratch so hard that my daughter wasn’t able to complete it. Djeco’s kit is very easy to scratch you really don’t need that much pressure to make the picture appear. The kit does come with an instruction manual but let’s be honest it’s really self explanatory. What was great for me was that doing just one card kept my daughter busy for almost an hour. We did end up taking turns to complete it because she said her hand was starting to hurt. Which I get because it is a lot of scratching for an almost 4 year old to be doing and she didn’t want to take a break and finish at later time.  My daughter really enjoyed this kit and asked if we could do more cards together but I told her we have space them out for t
