Review: Aquarellum Mini Cats

One of our art kits this year was  Aquarellum Mini Cats . This is a really cool art project. You get to mix the colors yourself. They give you a sheet to know how much of each color to use to get certain colors. I did however notice that not all the colors turn out like the color sheet says. Our daughter still had fun with it.  We got this with our Timberdoodle kindergarten kit. I always like to get extra art kits since our daughter loves art. A downside to this kit is there are only 2 projects. I wish it had more. Also the paint definitely stains. I had got some on my leg and it took days for it to come off.  This is a really fun art kit and I would definitely recommend it if you have the money. Since it only has 2 cards to paint it might be better to buy an art kit that has more projects. Either way, our food had a lot of fun with this. Mixing the colors and seeing her finished work, she was very proud of herself and that makes me a very happy mom.

Review: Indestructibles Social Studies

Are your kids a bit rough with books? When my oldest daughter was younger she was. Indestructibles  are just as described. They are rip and chew proof. Since our newest addition to the family is 2 month old I decided to test the rip with our older daughter (4 years old). She was unable to rip them apart. These books are apart of Timberdoodle’s Tiny Tots kit. They feature bright colors and cute illustrations to keep your kiddos engaged. Even though our baby is to little to know what she’s being read I strongly believe it’s never to early to read to your child. All 3 of us can read these books together. Oldest daughter and I can have discussions about these books, I can answer any questions she may have about them or even ask her questions that expand on what we’re reading. I’d definitely recommend these; especially if your child is a bit rough on books. They are great for younger kids who are just learning about things and an awesome tool for kids a bit older to expand on what they know

Homeschool: Kindergarten End of Year

Our kindergarten year started in January 2020 and is about to end (December 2020). We went with  Timberdoodle Curriculum  again this year. I set certain expectations at the beginning of our year after going through all the items in our custom kit. So the big questions are: Did Timberdoodle deliver on their kindergarten curriculum? Do my child learn enough? Do I feel she has retained the information and is ready to move onto 1st Grade? This school year was a bit rough. We took off about 3 months in the beginning of the year because of an extremely hard pregnancy. I was worried that by taking off so long that our daughter would forget most of what we went over. However, she remembered everything. I strongly believe it is due to Timberdoodle’s excellent choices in curriculum. The items we received are fun and engaging for kids. By having so many hands-on and interactive items it makes learning easy and our wanted to do school more than once a day. She’d constantly ask to do more school ev
