Review: Natural World Workshop

 A lot of people say that you can never have to many books. This is true but it is also true for art supplies and kits! Our daughters favorite subject in homeschool is art. This time we got the Natural World Workshop kit. It is another art kit made by Djeco. It is a water color painting arts and crafts. What I love about Djeco kits is that the manuals are super easy to follow. Everything is shown step by step on how you are supposed to do the art kit. It is perfect for kids as they can just look at the pictures in the manual and complete the craft on their own. They do not need to read anything so it is no problem to do even if your child does not know how to read yet. I love that I can get out daughter set up with a Djeco kit and get some work done while she is having fun and being productive.


Natural World Workshop has 4 projects to do and as always I do wish to at it had more. The 4 boards are absolutely adorable! There is an under the sea, a desert oasis, a rainforest and a snow covered forest. Each project in this art kit is so wonderfully draw and beautiful. The water colors go on nicely to the board and dry quickly. Out of all the Djeco art kits we have gotten this one is our favorite. In our art class I let our daughter be as creative as she likes. So, with this Djeco kit as well as the other arts and crafts we do I let our daughter paint however she likes. She can choose to do it like the manual suggest or make a super unique work of art. The painting boards are nice and sturdy so I never have to worry about them getting bent or messed up. I really like this because I like to display our daughter’s art around the house. 



There are 8 different colors to choose from and the kit also comes with a paintbrush. The one negative thing that I do not like about this kit is that it only has one paintbrush. It is a bit big for the smaller details. Luckily, we have plenty of brushes in all sizes to choose from. Since it is a water color and not regular paint our daughter is not able to mid colors as she would like but I do not find this to be a negative since when she mixes paint they all turn out grey eventually. If you are in need of some art kits I would definitely suggest Natural World Workshop.

Review: All About Reading Level 4

 We have finished All About Reading Level 4 ! I am so glad that we started using this program from All About Learning Press. It is hands-down the best if you want to teach anyone to read. This last level goes over the rare teams, unexpected phonic sounds, and words that are borrowed from other languages. The break down of each lesson is amazing not only for the teacher but the student as well. The games incorporated make it really intriguing for the student. I absolutely love the little readers that come with each level. The lessons are perfectly spaced out so that it isn't too much at one time. I love the way the teacher's manual is done. As a dyslexic teaching another dyslexic I couldn't be happier with the teaching method. A lot of the things taught in all 4 levels of All About Reading I learned for the first time. Review: Sensory Tissue Box

We have been trying out a lot of new baby items this year and here is another one we did not have for our first daughter. It is called  Sensory Tissue Box . What makes this toy so much fun? Let's be honest babies love to get into things. We have tried before to let her play with a regular box of tissues. Big mess. The tissues were everywhere and they have like 250 tissues in a box, she torn them up to so an even bigger mess. Our daughter even went as far as to rip the box itself up. This sensory tissue box though is made of very soft fabric so she can not tear it up, it has 15 tissues so less to keep track of and the tissue can not be easily torn up either. This is the biggest positive of this sensory box in my opinion. Another positive to having this sensory tissue box instead of a regular one is that the tissues are different colors and sizes as well as having different textures to them. Review: Djeco Pompom Pictures - All Aboard

Djeco Pompom  is a super cute and easy art craft for toddlers. They just put the pompoms on the corresponding dots. I like that it comes with all the pompoms you need. However, the glue stick they give you doesn’t make the pompoms sticks to the board. I tried regular glue and that didn’t work either so I ended up having to use a hot glue gun. So, I suggest having hot glue if you get this. There are small circles on the boards to let you know what color pompom goes where so it’s pretty self-explanatory. The kit does come with a small manual that it done with pictures so even your little one can look at the manual and understand which pompoms go on which board.
