Review: Kumon Sticker Science

Sticker Science by Kumon came with our Timberdoodle PreK Elite Kit. I love this book! It has a bunch of different things that kids need to know about but does it in a fun way. My daughter loves that she gets to use stickers. Not every page uses stickers. There are maxes, connecting like things, drawing and coloring.

This keeps my daughter engaged and wanting to do more because she thinks it’s so fun. One thing I wish it had was a review. Since it doesn’t I review with her. The lessons are short but give you a great entryway to go further by talking to your child about the concepts. There is a lesson in the beginning about things growing and has a small maze with an egg that goes through its’ lifecycle. A great example to use for our daughter was our chicken and how we hatch them then they eventually grow into a chicken.

Review: Geoboards

A fun way to help kids get great hand-eye coordination isn’t with  Geoboards . I love that with these there are 4 boards included so you can use it with multiple students. The rubber bands are different colors and 2 different sizes. The pictures are fun, colorful and you get a bunch of them. My daughter really likes these. For some reason she thinks it’s so funny when the bands pop her. At first I just let her place the bands anywhere to get the idea of how to put them on. Then we started places them just on the white lines in the picture. She always wants to do more than one so I let her do as many pictures as she wants. I do wish there was a blanket picture so she could design her own things.
