Review: Small Pegs Activity Set

Small Pegs Activity Set is great for fine motor skills. The pegs snap into the board so you know they are in properly. My daughter gets bored about halfway through doing one challenge so I have her just do a little section or take turns putting in pegs with her. I do wish it came with a blanket challenge board so she could make her own design. I plan on making one for her.

These have been really great to teach her patterns; ab, aba, abc, etc. She was having trouble with what comes next in a pattern until I noticed that Small Pegs had cards that were just about patterns. After doing them a few times she’s a pro. Since there are a lot of pegs and they are very small I put them all in a ziplock baggy to help them from going missing.

Review: Geoboards

A fun way to help kids get great hand-eye coordination isn’t with  Geoboards . I love that with these there are 4 boards included so you can use it with multiple students. The rubber bands are different colors and 2 different sizes. The pictures are fun, colorful and you get a bunch of them. My daughter really likes these. For some reason she thinks it’s so funny when the bands pop her. At first I just let her place the bands anywhere to get the idea of how to put them on. Then we started places them just on the white lines in the picture. She always wants to do more than one so I let her do as many pictures as she wants. I do wish there was a blanket picture so she could design her own things.
